A three-person gang was busted in Dubai after attempting to smuggle almost 90,000 captagon pills worth AED 4.48 million (BD 448,000) hidden within clothing buttons.
Dubbed 'Operation Toxic Buttons', the arrest was a coordinated effort between Dubai Police and Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
The operation was launched after investigators received a reliable report about the trio's movements and plans, and followed them until their arrest.
It was later revealed that the three were working under another drug lord abroad.
