MUAY THAI – BAHRAIN’S Al Kaabi Fighter Academy came away with three medals, headlined by one gold, in the Eastern Province Muay Thai Open Championship, held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Hamad Al Abad struck gold for the team to spearhead their campaign.
The Al Kaabi athletes also came away with a silver and a bronze medal in the competition.
The silver was won by Yousef Sami while Salem Masra Salem came away with the bronze. Al Kaabi Fighter Academy president Ahmed Al Kaabi expressed his pride in their fighters’ accomplishments, which he said underscores the fruits of their hard work and intensive training.
He added that their participation represented an important step in strengthening the academy’s presence in the Gulf scene, and noted that the academy will continue to strive for success in larger competition as the continental and international levels.
