The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) announced the launch of the fourth edition of Shaikha Hessa Bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Youth Voluntary Work.
The award was established under Royal Order No (15) of 2011 in commemoration of Shaikha Hessa’s role and contributions in supporting charitable, voluntary and social work.
SCW member and chairperson of the award committee Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa said during an event organised by the SCW at its headquarters in Riffa that the award enjoys the direct attention of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and SCW president.
The award offers cash prizes for the two best individual volunteer efforts, with first place receiving BD10,000 and second place BD6,000.
There are also two group prizes, with first place receiving BD14,000 and second place receiving BD10,000
