Ian Franco, a 13-year-old student from Southwestern Middle School, Florida, was arrested after a Gaggle alert identified a message in ChatGPT that read, “How to kill my friend in the middle of class.”
The alert prompted an immediate reaction from law enforcement and school administration. When questioned, Franco claimed he was merely joking around with a friend who was bothering him—another “prank” that led to a crisis on campus.
