Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) has completed preparations to launch the third edition of the National Programme for Parliamentary and
Municipal Elections, “Darrib” (Train), the institute’s executive director Eman Janahi has affirmed.
She added that the programme consists of four integrated phases: the candidacy preparation stage, the electoral capacity-building stage, the specialised electoral support stage, and the electoral awareness stage. She also noted that the programme comes within the institute’s ongoing efforts to develop electoral competencies and promote transparency and integrity in the electoral process.
Ms Janahi pointed out that the first phase of the programme will be launched next month at the institute’s headquarters. It will include five main events to be held from November 9 to 23, with the participation of an elite of Bahraini experts and academics in the fields of strategic communication, media, law, and modern technologies.
The BIPD executive director asked individuals intending to run in the upcoming parliamentary and municipal elections, as well as election campaign managers, to register for the first phase through the institute’s website www.bipd.org, noting that registration is completely free of charge.
