KOWAT ALRAMI – The seventh edition of the Kowat Alrami Arab Championship kicked off yesterday at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, with the participation of 12 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Sudan, Syria, Kuwait, and hosts Bahrain. Bahrain’s kowat alrami, or power throwing, team, features several competitors in various weight classes.
They include Zayed Ali Al Mousa in the juniors’ under-35kg, Ali Ahmed Hassan in the juniors’ under 50-kg, Qasim Azhar Dawood in the youth under-55kg, Jassim Mohammed Al Subaie in the youth under-60kg, Ammar Jawad Al Jaziri in the men’s under-65kg, Mahmoud Jaafar Ali and Hussein Ali Dawood in the men’s under-70kg, Mujtaba Muhammad Habib in the men’s under-75kg, Mohamed Emad in the men’s under-80kg, Ali Musa Allaith in the men’s under-85kg, Hussein Ali Hussein in the men’s under-95kg, and Sayed Alawi Al Kamel and Sayed Majeed Mohsen Al Ali, who are participating in the open weight category.
