A mild earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck northwestern Saudi Arabia on Saturday, according to the Saudi Geological Survey.
The tremor was recorded in Harrat Al-Shaqa, located in the Tabuk region. Authorities confirmed that no damage or injuries were reported.
Harrat Al-Shaqa is one of Saudi Arabia's most seismically and volcanically active areas, characterised by extensive lava fields. In 2009, a series of small quakes led to the evacuation of more than 2,000 residents after surface fissures appeared.
