Deputy Prime Minister and Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday announced the completion of the settlement of all stalled real-estate development projects that had been sold off-plan in Bahrain before the enactment of Law (27) of 2017 regulating the real-estate sector. Shaikh Khalid thanked His Majesty King Hamad for issuing Decree-Law (66) of 2014, which provided the first specialised legal mechanism to settle stalled off-plan developments, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the confidence entrusted by the Cabinet to the committee to follow up on those stalled projects and bring them to full closure .
