One of the oldest Indian communities in the kingdom pledged its allegiance to Bahrain’s leadership during a special celebration held over the weekend.
The kingdom’s Bhatia community gathered at the sacred premises of the Shrinathji Shri Krishna Temple to collectively sign the formal pledge of loyalty and allegiance.
The event was attended by families representing multiple generations of the community, reflecting the deep bond that has flourished between the Bhatias and Bahrain for more than a century.
Community members conveyed their heartfelt appreciation and unwavering loyalty to His Majesty King Hamad, while also expressing admiration for the visionary leadership and progressive governance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Bhatias were amongst the earliest expatriate communities to establish roots, building thriving enterprises and contributing to the kingdom’s commercial development.
As a community that has flourished under Bahrain’s inclusive and welcoming ethos, the gathering was organised as an expression of gratitude for the support, security, and opportunities the kingdom has provided across generations.
More than 200 community members signed the pledge, celebrating Bahrain’s remarkable journey as a model of development, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and cultural diversity.
This historic initiative, organised by the Bhatia community, is a testament to the enduring friendship, mutual respect, and shared prosperity in the relationship between Bahrain’s Royal Family, government, citizens, and the Bhatia diaspora.
