CRICKET – The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) won the ICC Criiio Cricket Grand Finale for Girls, defeating Pakistan School by 27 runs in the championship match played at Al Najma Club.
The event, organised by the Bahrain Cricket Federation, featured 16 school teams from across the kingdom.
The ISB earned their place in the title-decider after a semi-final victory over New Millennium School, with Team A ultimately claiming the crown and Team B reaching the quarter-finals.
The ISB’s Team A included captain Jhancy TM, vice-captain Parvathi Saleesh, wicketkeeper Faiha Abdul Hakkim, Wafiya Anjum, Jwel Maria, Mankirat Kaur, Shazina Sharafu, and Aradhya Remeshan.
The ISB’s Team B featured captain Kaushika Subhash, vice-captain Aaradhya Wankhade, Angel Alphesh, Gayathri Ullatil, Rudra Kakkad, Prathyashri, wicketkeeper Dhanya Arunvel, and Diya Jaison.
School officials commended the participants for their success and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in all future endeavours.
The team coach and cricket in-charge Vijayan Nair was also appreciated for his committed guidance and support.
