His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has affirmed that the sacrifices of the fallen servicemen are etched in the kingdom’s social fabric and history, inspiring future generations.
He paid tribute to their chivalry and courage, emphasising their efforts as a source of national pride, and extending his gratitude to the personnel of all the kingdom’s military and security sectors.
This came as HRH Prince Salman chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commission for the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen (RFFS) yesterday at Riffa Palace.
He emphasised His Majesty King Hamad’s steadfast support for the commission, highlighting its role in providing care for the families of martyrs.
He said the King’s unwavering support for the fund demonstrates the kingdom’s commitment to the families of fallen veterans, and ensures they receive sufficient support.
He noted that the fund is also a symbol of Bahrain’s enduring appreciation for martyrs and their sacrifices.
HRH Prince Salman, who is also the president of the commission, stressed the successful efforts of the fund’s administrators in fulfilling its objectives and achieving the purposes for which it was established.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla Al Nuaimi also attended the meeting.
HRH Prince Salman also met sponsors of the RFFS and outlined that the unwavering support it receives from His Majesty is central to furthering the fund’s objectives.
He commended the honourable sacrifices made by the fallen heroes in safeguarding the kingdom’s security and stability, stating that their dedication reflects the highest standards of patriotism and loyalty.
HRH Prince Salman expressed his appreciation for the vital role of the sponsors and their commitment to supporting the fund’s mission.
He reiterated the importance of continued support in enhancing the fund’s programmes and ensuring their long-term impact, commending the efforts of RFFS members in achieving its goals.
He stated that supporting the families of fallen servicemen is a national duty, underscoring the strong community partnership that exists between the public and private sectors in advancing national initiatives.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the kingdom’s commitment to further developing these partnerships to enhance programmes dedicated to affected families.
He emphasised the need for promoting the values of national solidarity, mutual support, as well as raising community awareness of efforts supporting the families of fallen servicemen that play a crucial role towards the kingdom’s success across diverse fields.
