The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) organised its second charity marathon, themed “Miles for Children’s Health”, attracting more than 1,000 participants from across the community.
It was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun in co-ordination with the Bahrain Runners Committee.
The marathon was staged to support the insulin pump initiative, helping provide life-saving devices for children living with type 1 diabetes, while also strengthening community partnerships with supporting organisations.
The programme included races for children, adults and people with disabilities, alongside healthy meal offerings from participating restaurants. Several healthcare providers were also present to raise awareness about insulin pump technology, carry out basic medical checks and offer health advice.
Awards were presented to the winners and the supporting entities were honoured, including Bahrain National Holding, Aramex, Bapco Engineering, Mini Bites, and Abdali Al Daisani Company.
