His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, marked Bahrain’s National Day, the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne, and the national celebrations, extending his congratulations to all recipients of medals and awards on National Day.
He affirmed that the kingdom continues to advance across all areas of national achievement under the leadership of His Majesty.
“His Majesty’s foresight and vision has laid the foundation for the kingdom’s comprehensive development, prioritising citizens and recognising their vital role in achieving national goals.”
HRH Prince Salman expressed pride in Bahrain’s distinguished achievements, emphasising that all national accomplishments stem from the collective efforts of Team Bahrain, with citizens united in their dedication to serving the kingdom. He reaffirmed the national commitment to continuing to invest in social services that support the kingdom’s people in line with the royal directives.
He highlighted the importance of effective social support for electricity and water for citizens’ first homes and enhancing programmes that support and empower low-income households, and preserve the purchasing power of middle-income households, while continuing to generate economic opportunity for all.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the critical importance of safeguarding public funds and preventing the excessive waste of resources, emphasising that efficient and responsible spending is essential to serving the public interest and achieving the intended objectives.
He further stressed the necessity of ensuring that social support be directed to those in need, and not disproportionately consumed by higher-income groups.
“The kingdom has achieved remarkable national accomplishments during recent years, marked by the establishment of a strong and resilient economy built on sustainable foundations,” he said, affirming that the dividends of this economic growth will directly benefit citizens, driving constructive economic activity and broadening development opportunities across all sectors.
HRH Prince Salman underscored the importance of maintaining close co-operation and constructive engagement with the legislative branch, alongside launching initiatives and programmes that support national development.
He reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to leveraging all achievements and development opportunities to advance progress and prosperity, while further strengthening the foundations of sustainable development that fulfil citizens’ aspirations and reinforce Bahrain’s standing across all sectors.
