His Majesty King Hamad yesterday issued a decree granting a special pardon and releasing 963 inmates. This includes convicts of various cases who have served part of their sentences, as well as a number of individuals subject to alternative sentencing.
The royal gesture came as Bahrain celebrated National Day, the 26th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne, and the accompanying national events.
The pardon reflects His Majesty’s longstanding commitment to providing those included with an opportunity to reintegrate into society and contribute to the kingdom’s comprehensive development under his leadership.
