Members of the Bangladeshi community in Bahrain gathered together to honour Bangladesh Victory Day in the grounds of its embassy.
Ambassador Mohammed Sarower raised his country’s flag and celebrations featured cultural and musical performances.

The Bangladesh Victory Day is marked on December 16, which is also Bahrain’s National Day.
The diplomat paid tribute to the ‘brave freedom fighters and thousands who sacrificed their lives’ that led to an independent and sovereign Bangladesh.
He urged the community to remain united and work towards building a developed, prosperous and discrimination-free modern Bangladesh.
