Rain and strong winds swept across Bahrain yesterday, marking the onset of a cold wave in the region.
Temperatures are expected to dip to 12C by tomorrow.
The downpour drenched streets – welcomed by some, lamented by others – while neighbouring Qatar and Saudi Arabia even reported hail.
According to the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry, the temperature will peak at 17C today, 6C lower than yesterday’s maximum.
Tomorrow’s forecast predicts a low of 13C, and conditions are expected to remain cloudy, with strong winds, through at least Monday.
The Interior Ministry’s relevant directorates have intensified efforts to address the impact of heavy rainfall, including managing rainwater-related incidents to safeguard lives and property.
