SHOWJUMPING – THE Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) will organise the National Day Showjumping Championship tomorrow at the field of the Military Sports Union in Al Raffah, with strong competition expected and wide participation from local riders and stables.
The championship is being held as part of Bahrain’s National Day celebrations and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
On the occasion Breef president Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa highlighted the continued development of equestrian sport in Bahrain, particularly showjumping, noting that the current season has been marked by the organisation of two international championships bearing the names of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Isa said the National Day Championship holds a special status among showjumping events, as it coincides with national celebrations and represents an important sporting occasion that attracts strong participation and competition.
He noted that the federation has mobilised all available resources to ensure the success of the championship and deliver it to the highest standards, wishing all participating riders success.
