His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended the conclusion of the national virtual exercise, ‘Azm Al Watan 1’, at the headquarters of the Supreme Defence Council General Secretariat.
The exercise was led by the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, followed the exercise via video conference.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander, Supreme Defence Council Secretary-General and director of the exercise Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Guard Special Operations Commander Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser briefed His Majesty on the exercise that is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance national readiness.
He expressed gratitude for the King’s continuous support that contributed to the sustained and comprehensive development of all sectors in the country.
During a video conference call with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Majesty expressed thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the government led by HRH Prince Salman as well as for his directives and continuous follow up with the ministries and other government institutions participating in the exercise, which ensured the success of this important national exercise.
Following this, the King held a remote meeting with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and senior officials involved in the exercise, where he was briefed on the exercise and the efforts undertaken to ensure its success.
The King thanked the participants for their dedication in successfully completing the national exercise.
His Majesty commended the high level of performance and precise co-ordination demonstrated during the exercise.
He noted that they reflected a strong sense of national responsibility and a high level of readiness to respond to various circumstances and developments.
His Majesty emphasised that unity of purpose is the kingdom’s foremost strength and that effective integration is essential to safeguarding Bahrain’s security and stability.
He underscoring the importance of building on the lessons learned and outcomes achieved to further enhance national readiness and reinforce teamwork across all sectors.
His Majesty expressed thanks to all participants for their sincere efforts and dedication, expressing pride in their commitment, and wishing them continued success in advancing development, safeguarding national achievements, and ensuring that Bahrain remains strong, steadfast and prosperous.
He further expressed appreciation to Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser and all members of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defence Council and the Royal Guard for their professional and loyal service.
