An advanced surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder through a single incision at the navel, using the ‘surgical glove’ technique, has been successfully performed at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
The procedure, led by general surgery consultant Dr Hamza Munir and his team, was carried out on a 27-year-old female patient with sickle cell anaemia .
