Two individuals, including the owner of a travel agency, have been arrested in connection with a fraud case involving fake travel bookings, the Interior Ministry announced yesterday.
The suspects, aged 67 and 46, allegedly deceived several victims into believing that genuine travel arrangements had been made on their behalf.
The Anti-Economic Crimes Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security launched an investigation immediately after receiving complaints, which led to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
Legal procedures are underway to refer the case to the Public Prosecution, the ministry confirmed.
