Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam received the Social Responsibility Leadership Award in recognition of his national, charitable and legislative efforts, and his support for community and development initiatives.
The occasion was attended by First Deputy Speaker Abdulnabi Salman, Second Deputy Speaker Ahmed Qarata, Bahrain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Society chairman Khaled Al Qoud and members of the society.
Mr Al Musallam said that His Majesty King Hamad’s vision is the national approach guiding service to the country, citizens and Bahraini society, based on firmly rooted national values.
The Speaker commended the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting a culture of social responsibility through government projects, stronger community partnerships with the private sector, and values of co-operation and solidarity.
He noted that social responsibility is a longstanding value in Bahraini society, reflected in initiatives by individuals and families, private sector projects and civil society programmes that support development across all domains.
The Bahrain CSR Society chairman said the award recognises Mr Al Musallam’s leading role in supporting sustainable development projects, enhancing social responsibility and promoting community partnership as part of the kingdom’s comprehensive development.
