Education Minister Dr Mohammed Mubarak Juma revealed that the ministry is studying the introduction of a unified and comprehensive licence to operate in early childhood education and private school institutions without the need to obtain multiple licences in the future.
This was announced during the inauguration of the new building of Al Mawahib International School yesterday in Busaiteen.
In response to a question by our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej regarding the latest developments of the previously announced ‘Gaming’ curriculum, the minister explained that the objective of the course is not gaming itself.
Rather, it aims to introduce students to the significant economic opportunities in the electronic gaming sector, which includes programming, design platforms and graphics.
He added that this sector is rapidly growing worldwide, and that it is important to maximise the benefits from it by engaging positively in the field to support students’ personal development.
