Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Daina yesterday met UAE Ambassador Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Nature Reserve. The meeting included a tour of the reserve to review its facilities and the environmental protection efforts led by the Supreme Council for Environment in wildlife conservation and biodiversity preservation.
Dr Bin Daina said that the royal order issued by His Majesty King Hamad to name the reserve after UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reflects the deep relations between the two countries. He highlighted the reserve’s importance as a leading environmental landmark in Bahrain and their growing cooperation, particularly in environmental field.
The UAE Ambassador emphasised that the naming of the reserve symbolises the strong ties between the leaderships of the two countries and their shared commitment to preserving natural heritage.
