Bahraini musician Hussam Aseem, better known as Flipperachi, has set a Guinness World Record for the success of his song Fa9la, which has gone viral amongst dance and music lovers around the world.
According to the Guinness World Records website, Flipperachi now holds the record for the most Billboard Arabia charts topped at No 1 by a single song.
The song has skyrocketed to top of four charts - Top 100 Artists, Hot 100 Songs, Top 50 Khaleeji, and Top 50 Arabic Hip Hop lists – compiled by Billboard Arabia.
Fa9la was at No 1 on all four charts from December 18 last year to January 1 this year.
“This didn’t happen overnight,” the musician’s producer Outlaw Productions said in a statement at the time.
“To everyone who’s been rocking with us since day one, before the charts, before the numbers, before the spotlight, this moment belongs to you just as much as it belongs to us.
“You carried the sound, shared it, defended it, and believed in it when it was still just a vision.”
Although Fa9la was released in 2024 to regional popularity, its international prominence began after it was used as an entrance soundtrack in the Indian movie Dhurandhar featuring Bollywood superstars Akshay Khanna and Ranveer Singh.
