Arab and Muslim nations yesterday strongly condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, warning that the breaches have led to a significant loss of Palestinian lives.
In a joint statement shared by the Saudi foreign ministry, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey expressed grave concern over the continued escalation in Gaza.
According to the statement, Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire have resulted in the killing and injuring of more than a thousand Palestinians, underscoring what the ministers described as a dangerous deterioration of the humanitarian and security situation in the enclave.
“These actions risk escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at consolidating calm and restoring stability, at a time when regional and international parties are working collectively to advance the second phase of President Donald Trump’s peace plan and to implement the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803,” the statement said.
The foreign ministers collectively expressed alarm over the impact of ceasefire breaches on civilian populations, as well as the broader implications for stability in the region.
They emphasised their shared stance in rejecting actions that undermine efforts to de-escalate tensions and protect civilians.
