Bahrain joined Saudi Arabia and the UN in condemning the terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in Islamabad.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reiterated the kingdom’s firm rejection of extremism and terrorism, and of attacks targeting places of worship and civilians.
The ministry expressed Bahrain’s condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, and to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned in the strongest terms yesterday’s attack on the mosque, a UN spokesperson said in a statement.
The Saudi foreign ministry reiterated the kingdom’s firm stance against targeting places of worship, terrorising civilians and shedding of innocent blood.
