A Dubai man who refused to return his friend's Rolls-Royce after it was temporarily registered in his name has been ordered by a court to hand back the luxury vehicle.
The dispute began in 2024 when the victim purchased the AED2.3 million (approximately BD 230,000) car. Because he did not hold a driving licence at the time, he asked his friend to register the vehicle under his name as a temporary measure until he qualified to drive.
However, that trust was betrayed when the individual later refused to return the car, claiming ownership because his name appeared on the official documents. The case was subsequently taken to court, which ruled in favour of the original buyer and ordered the immediate transfer of ownership.
