Export Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HQ, under which Export Bahrain becomes the official ‘Export Partner’ of the HQ Industrial project in Hidd.
This step reflects the shared commitment of both parties to supporting the growth of Bahraini industrial projects and enhancing their competitiveness in regional and international markets.
The partnership aims to provide an integrated support ecosystem for entrepreneurs within HQ Industrial. Beneficiaries will gain access to Export Bahrain’s services, including export advisory, capacity building, market linkages, as well as programmes and initiatives related to international expansion and growth beyond the local market.
This MoU comes as part of Export Bahrain’s continued efforts to build strategic partnerships with entities supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the private sector, while strengthening the competitiveness of Bahrain-based businesses and supporting their expansion into regional and global markets.
It also reflects the shared commitment to enhancing the business environment in the kingdom and providing practical solutions that enable businesses to achieve sustainable growth and strengthen their presence in international markets.
Export Bahrain chief executive officer Safa Sharif Abdulkhaleq said that the MoU reflects Export Bahrain’s commitment to empowering Bahrain-based businesses and enhancing their readiness to expand into international markets. She noted that the partnership will provide an integrated suite of export services and programmes that meet businesses’ needs and enable them to transform their export ambitions into real growth opportunities.
Hope Ventures general manager Latifa Mohamed Jabbar affirmed that this partnership represents a valuable addition to the HQ Industrial ecosystem, noting that enabling industrial projects to access export services is a key pillar for supporting their sustainability and growth.
“HQ believes supporting industrial businesses goes beyond providing space and infrastructure; it also includes empowering them to reach global markets. The partnership with Export Bahrain represents a strategic step that enhances tenants’ ability to expand and compete regionally and internationally,” she added.
The MoU reflects both parties’ shared commitment to strengthening the business environment in the kingdom and enhancing collaboration between the public and private sectors.
The partnership is expected to enhance export opportunities for tenants at HQ Industrial, open new avenues for co-operation, support economic diversification objectives and reinforce Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for emerging industries.
HQ Industrial is one of the largest shared industrial workspaces in Bahrain and the first specialised industrial incubator in manufacturing, spanning more than 53,000 square feet.
It provides a comprehensive industrial environment including dedicated manufacturing spaces, operational facilities, support services, co-working spaces, and a network of strategic partners supporting growth and expansion.
