Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that all schools across the country will implement a fingerprint-based attendance system, starting from September.
The move aims to enhance student safety and security while also enabling parents to keep a closer eye on their children's attendance records. According to the ministry, the new system will digitally log arrival and departure times, helping schools maintain accurate data and respond quickly to any irregularities.
The technology is set to be rolled out across government and private schools in phases before the start of the new academic year.
