His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday honoured the 12 finalists of 7th Government Innovation Competition ‘Fikra’ at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH Prince Salman expressed pride in the high standard of entries, affirming that it highlights the competence and capabilities of Bahrainis within Team Bahrain in advancing the kingdom’s achievements.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation, strengthening Bahrain’s role as a hub for ideas and advancing its comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH Prince Salman congratulated the finalists, commending the high standard of entries as a reflection of the kingdom’s rich talent and innovative spirit.
He stressed the importance of transforming innovative ideas into projects that advance the kingdom’s progress to benefit its citizens and ensure the sustainability of the kingdom’s accomplishments.
For their part, the finalists expressed their gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s unwavering support, affirming that this support drives them to continue advancing their innovations in line with the kingdom’s aspirations.
The winning concepts were chosen following a series of evaluations, with 12 concepts advancing to the final stage, which included presentations to a ministerial committee and a public vote.
The winners included:
1. Takamul by Captain Abdulla Waheed Almannaei and Alaa Ahmed Albalooshi from Interior Ministry.
2. Smart Employment Adviser by Jalal Jaafar Maki from Legal Affairs Ministry.
3. Tameni by Ali Husain Darwish, Maha Majeed Almaarej, Narjes Yusuf Sabt, Fatema Ateya Alaradi from Government Hospitals.
In addition to the three winners, the other qualifying concepts were:
1. Savings and Investment Programme by Ahmed Ridha Sanad, Ali Khalil Ebrahim Fadhul and Abdulla Ali Sultan Alshamlan from the Finance and National Economy Ministry.
2. Ata’a – The National Giving Platform by Ahmed Saleh Mejairan from the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
3. Floating Oases by Bassam Mohammed Alshuwaikh from the Supreme Council for the Environment.
4. Rahma by Salamah Hashel Zayed Alkobaisi from the Finance and National Economy Ministry.
5. Secondary Education Curriculum Enhancement by Abdulla Mohamed Abdulla Badow from the Education Ministry.
6. Annual Leaves Exchange Platform by Mohamed Ebrahim Alhasan, Asma Naser Almosawi and Noof Ali Fakhro from the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA).
7. Wasalt by Manal Ali Alhashemi from the National Communication Centre.
8. Tawazun by Maha Bader Abdulla Bader Alsada, Ahmed Hasan Abdulrahman Bucheeri from the Social Insurance Organisation and Nayla Musaad Matar from Industry and Commerce Ministry.
9. MindForward by Walaa A Hadi Ahmed Albaqali from Government Hospitals.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
