Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa chaired the 292nd meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects.
In line with the Cabinet’s decision to review stalled real estate projects, the committee approved referring several projects belonging to Bin Faqeeh Real Estate Investment Company to the judicial Committee for the Settlement of Stalled Real Estate Projects. The decision follows Legislative Decree (66) of 2014 after confirming the developer’s lack of seriousness and inability to complete construction or deliver property documents to buyers.
The committee also reviewed a draft decision on the roles and authorities of engineering offices in supporting municipal service licensing, and discussed ways to increase parking near some government service centres.
Members followed up on the electronic waste transport monitoring project and measures against illegal dumping, reviewed updates on improving the environmental status of Tubli Bay, examined the national investment plan for climate change adaptation, and were briefed on progress in the first phase of the Bahrain National Halal System.
