AROUND 400 workers recently took part in Autumn Fest, an initiative designed to bring joy, recognition and meaningful support to low‑income individuals across the kingdom.
The event was organised by the Indian Community Welfare Association at the Indian Club in Manama.
The programme aimed to raise awareness about the various community support systems available to workers.
It also featured sporting activities and dance and musical competitions.
The winners were awarded medals and one lucky individual went home with a 32-inch Smart TV.
Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) partnerships and outreach director Fahad Abdulaziz Al bin Ali attended the event and gave a talk on LMRA services and workplace rights and responsibilities.
International Organisation for Migration project officer Nihal AKL and Labour Ministry senior occupational safety engineer Husain Al Hussaini were also present.
Advocate Madhavan Kallath spoke about employment-related matters and Dr Babu Ramachandran shared practical guidance on healthy living for workers.
A cake-cutting session was organised for workers born in February.
The evening ended with a laughter yoga segment and participants left with a goodie bag and a dinner pack.
