Hasan Haider, founder and managing partner of Plus VC, has been named a Top Venture Capitalist for 2026 at the Forbes Middle East Top Advisors and Investors Summit.
The Bahrain-based investor was the only Bahraini national to receive the distinction at the event, which was held in Abu Dhabi last week. The award recognises Mr Haider’s role in advancing the venture capital ecosystem across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
Plus VC, an early-stage venture capital firm, has backed more than 100 technology startups across the Mena region and its diaspora.
“This recognition reflects both the extraordinary founders we support and the growing momentum of the Mena venture ecosystem,” Mr Haider said, noting the firm’s focus on backing regional entrepreneurs building “transformative, technology-driven companies.”
The summit, presented by Beltone, gathered regional private equity leaders, institutional investors, and family offices to recognise impact within the investment landscape.
