As part of its ongoing monitoring of current regional developments, and in line with its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its employees and customers while maintaining high service efficiency, BBK announced the activation of a partial remote working system for its workforce, effective 1 March and until further notice.
The bank further confirmed that seven of its branches, namely the Main Branch, Tala Plaza Financial Mall, Budaiya Financial Mall, Hamad Town Branch, Riffa Financial Mall, Isa Town Financial Mall, and the BBK Lite Salamabad Branch, will continue operating as usual to provide in-branch services to valued customers, while strictly adhering to all approved precautionary and regulatory measures to ensure the safety of both customers and employees.
The bank also highlighted the full readiness of its digital channels and BBKPLUS self-service zones available at the branches, which operate around the clock. These platforms allow customers to complete their transactions easily and securely, and the bank encourages customers to make use of these channels whenever possible. In addition, the BBK Call Centre will continue operating 24/7 to support customers with their banking needs.
BBK reaffirmed its commitment to closely monitoring developments, maintaining co-ordination with relevant authorities, and taking all necessary precautionary measures as required – reflecting its responsibility towards its employees, customers, and the wider community.
Meanwhile, NBB closed its branches in line with a ‘commitment’ to ensuring safety and uninterrupted service, encouraging customers to use its digital channels.
