Scammers are using the Iran attacks as a method to gain personal information by impersonating officials, the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has warned.
According to the directorate, the fraudsters claim to be from the Interior Ministry and will ask people to ‘confirm’ whether they have received national alerts.
They also request the victim’s full name, CPR and other information aimed at ‘defrauding them and exploiting their vulnerabilities’.
The ministry has urged people to ensure that they do not give out any information in order to protect their personal accounts from theft.
- People who receive such calls are being urged to report them to the directorate by calling the hotline at 992.
