The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that its air defence systems continue to confront successive waves of Iranian attacks, having destroyed 75 missiles and 123 drones since the outset of the aggression targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The General Command affirmed that the sustained operational readiness and high vigilance demonstrated by BDF personnel reflect advanced combat preparedness and efficiency in safeguarding the Kingdom. It expressed pride in the performance of its servicemen, noting that their efforts reinforce confidence in the protection of Bahrain’s airspace.
The General Command urged the public to remain indoors and to leave their homes only when absolutely necessary, while exercising the utmost caution for their safety. It called on residents to stay away from damaged sites and any suspicious objects, refrain from photographing military operations or debris impact locations, and avoid circulating rumours. The public was advised to rely solely on official sources and to follow official and government media outlets for updates, alerts and warnings.
The General Command further said that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian facilities and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, and that such indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
