Around 50 Thai families yesterday were repatriated from Bahrain through Dammam after their departure was facilitated by the Thai embassy.
The Gulf Air flight departed from King Fahad International Airport at 10.23am yesterday and arrived at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport around 8.40pm, according to Thailand time.
The embassy confirmed that Gulf Air added another special flight which is scheduled to depart from Dammam today at 9.30am.
Earlier in the week, Thai ambassador Sumate Chulajata held a meeting with Thai community volunteers from various areas, including Manama, Seef, Budaiya, Hamad Town, Hoora, Juffair, Muharraq, Riffa and Salmaniya.
He discussed ways to provide assistance, ease difficulties, and boost morale among Thai nationals in Bahrain amid the current situation.
