BASKETBALL - AL Ahli were last night crowned champions of the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation Under-18 Basketball League.
They claimed the title after defeating bitter rivals Manama 70-68 in a hotly contested final played at the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
After the contest, the winners were presented their awards in a ceremony by General Sports Authority facilities management director Yousef Duaij and BBA board member Ahmed Kaldari, in the presence of other officials. Joining Ahli and Manama in the top three were bronze-medallists Muharraq.
