Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani received a telephone call from Philippines Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms Maria Teresa Lazaro.
They discussed the friendly relations and co-operation between the two countries, as well as ways to strengthen them in various fields.
The prospects for developing and enhancing co-operation and joint co-ordination between the GCC and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) were also discussed, within the framework of Bahrain’s current chairmanship of the GCC and Philippines’ current chairmanship of Asean.
