His Majesty King Hamad yesterday sent a cable of condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, following the crash of a Saudi Aramco helicopter.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent similar cables to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Foreign Ministry expressed Bahrain’s solidarity and condolences with Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government and people over the tragedy.
The helicopter crashed earlier yesterday in Ras Tanura on the eastern coast, killing 14 nationals, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
“The relevant authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the cause of the crash,” the state news agency added.
The accident took place at 6am local time (0300 GMT), it said.
