A strategic two-lane U-turn project on the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Highway at its Zallaq intersection, heading towards Manama, has been completed, Works Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said yesterday. The project included the construction of a 1.3km U-turn under a flyover to help direct traffic towards the east of the highway, including to Riffa. This will facilitate vehicle movement and reduce pressure on Zallaq Highway intersections. Shaikh Mishal added that the project also included widening the right turn from Zallaq Highway onto Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Highway to two lanes.
