GULF states yesterday condemned the latest Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, while renewing calls for restraint and a return to diplomacy as regional tensions continued to escalate.
The Jordanian military said it intercepted eight missiles fired from Iran yesterday. Qatar also issued a security alert before later announcing that the threat had ended.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned what it described as Iran’s repeated ‘transgressive’ attacks against Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in a phone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart reiterated the need to halt the escalation and return to dialogue.
The UAE also condemned what it described as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, reaffirming its support for all measures taken by all three countries to safeguard their security and stability.

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command said that Iran continued its systematic hostile approach through missile and drone attacks targeting civilians in the kingdom.
The BDF’s air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed several treacherous Iranian aerial attacks, it said confirming that all its services and units are at the highest levels of readiness and full defensive preparedness.
