Kuwaiti authorities have arrested an Egyptian man wanted in connection with the premeditated killing of two expatriates.
The arrest followed an intensive investigation that identified the suspect and tracked him down as he allegedly attempted to flee the country, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Police were alerted to an assault at a farm chalet in the Kabd area of Jahra Governorate, where security teams found two residents, an Indian and an Iranian, who had been stabbed to death. Two other people were injured in the attack.
Investigators identified the suspect and recovered a weapon near the scene believed to have been used in the attack.
Authorities tracked the suspect to the Ratqa area, where he was arrested while allegedly attempting to escape through the border fence.
The suspect has been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
