Bahrain has upgraded 104 government services across 19 public sector entities between January 15 and July 16, 2026, as part of its ongoing programme to modernise and re-engineer government services, improve service quality, and enhance institutional efficiency.
Among the key improvements, the Supreme Council for Environment transferred its Annual Restricted Chemicals Report service to the Sahab platform.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) streamlined the process for lodging objections to notifications of foreign workers leaving their jobs by reducing the number of processing stages, while the Survey and Land Registration Bureau digitalised its survey office selection service.
The Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry also digitalised marriage contract procedures, allowing couples to complete and access their contracts electronically.
Meanwhile, the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry introduced an enhanced system enabling customers to choose their preferred postal delivery method.
The upgraded services have achieved 100 per cent digital transformation, reduced service delivery times by at least 25pc, limited application processes to a maximum of four steps, and cut the number of required supporting documents and webpages by 50pc.
The initiative also improved user interfaces and customer experience, simplified procedures, converted paper forms into electronic applications, and standardised service information across all government platforms.
