Volunteers recently benefited from two weeks of practical education in humanitarian work as part of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society’s (BRCS) 2026 summer camp programme.
The BRCS conducted the programme, which focused on practical learning at its headquarters in Manama, and concluded the flagship initiative with a closing ceremony attended by participants’ parents, BRCS members and trainers.
Participants showcased humanitarian projects and awareness initiatives developed during the camp, highlighting their progress in
communication, teamwork and their ability to translate ideas into
practical initiatives that benefit the community.
During the ceremony, BRCS honoured participants and trainers, noting the camp’s continued success in preparing responsible and socially aware youngsters for meaningful involvement in volunteer work and emergency response.
The camp featured a diverse range of specialised workshops covering humanitarian leadership, life skills, disaster management, safe evacuation, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and fire safety.
Participants also explored public speaking, artificial intelligence, mental well-being, healthy nutrition, recycling and the conservation of natural resources.
