At least six people, including two women and four children, have died in rain-related incidents in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province since July 29, officials said.

Torrential rain and flash floods have caused widespread damage across several districts, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). Six other people were injured in the incidents.
The PDMA added that 65 houses were damaged, with 24 completely destroyed and 41 partially damaged.
Pakistan has stepped up disaster preparedness this week as authorities warned of fresh flash flood risks across northern regions. Meanwhile, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) forecast that El Niño would continue strengthening into a major climate event, raising the likelihood of further extreme weather in the months ahead.
The country is already grappling with an active monsoon season that has killed 136 people and injured 418 nationwide since June 26, according to the National Disaster Management Authority’s latest figures.
