As part of the government's ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer the quality of services, the Ministry of Interior announced the development of a service for requesting work permits during the evening period or even late hours of the night in residential areas, as a digital service aimed at facilitating the procedures for obtaining a permit from the competent security directorate to carry out work during that period, such as construction, building and maintenance work, which contributes to raising the efficiency of service delivery and speeding up the completion of requests.
As part of the service development process, the completion time has been reduced from 5 working days to only 2 days, through the complete automation of service procedures, in addition to simplifying the application mechanism and reducing its steps in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of service delivery.
In this context, Major General Adel Abdullah Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Head of the Development Team at the Ministry of Interior, affirmed that this service comes within the framework of the Ministry’s adoption of innovative digital solutions that contribute to simplifying procedures, raising the efficiency of service delivery, and enhancing the experience of beneficiaries.
He added that the development of the service reflects the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to continue developing its government services, which contributes to accelerating the completion of requests, raising the efficiency of procedures, and providing easier and more effective digital services.
