Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak has affirmed that investing in Bahrain’s youth is a key pillar of the kingdom’s comprehensive development.
Meeting participants in the eighth edition of the national leadership programme, HIPO-YOUTH, he stressed the importance of fostering teamwork, initiative and innovation to enable young people to contribute to national development and shape the future.
The programme was organised by the Youth Affairs Ministry in co-operation with the Bahrain Society for Human Resource Management at Youth City 2030.
Mr Al Mubarak highlighted the importance of transferring expertise and providing opportunities for young people to develop their leadership capabilities, describing Bahraini youth as a key national asset.
He also outlined the ministry’s key areas of work, including municipal and agricultural services, food security and environmental initiatives, notably the afforestation plan targeting 3.6 million trees by 2035 and the Bahrain Mangrove Initiative, which aims to quadruple mangrove trees by 2035.
The meeting featured an interactive discussion, during which the minister answered participants’ questions and heard their views and suggestions.
