Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The two ministers reviewed the close relations between Bahrain and Pakistan and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
They also discussed the latest regional developments and regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions, preserve regional security and stability, and ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
They exchanged views on prospects for bilateral coordination through their countries' non-permanent memberships of the United Nations Security Council on issues under consideration by the Council, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
