Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates.
The two ministers reviewed the close relations between Bahrain and Egypt, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation at all levels in support of their shared interests and objectives.
They also discussed the latest regional developments, efforts to preserve regional security and stability, and safeguard maritime navigation through the Straits of Hormuz and Bab Al Mandab.
They exchanged views on current challenges, efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote peace in the region, strengthening joint Arab cooperation, and continued bilateral coordination and consultation in international forums, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
